All members of the Connecticut Psychiatric Society are bound by the ethical code of the medical profession, specifically defined in the Principles of Medical Ethics of the American Psychiatric Association and in the Association’s Principles of Medical Ethics With Annotations Especially Applicable to Psychiatry.
Complaints charging members of the Connecticut Psychiatric Society with unethical behavior or practices will be investigated, processed, and resolved in accordance with procedures approved by the Assembly and the Board of Trustees of the American Psychiatric Association. The name of a member who resigns during an ethics investigation will be reported to the membership.
